The Redfish Capital of the World!
Just east of Orlando, less than an hour away, lies Florida’s scenic Space Coast, also known as the Redfish Capital of the World. The Space Coast in Central Florida contains the Banana River, Indian River, and the Mosquito Lagoon. These inshore estuaries are home to some amazing species of fish and provide the perfect destination for inshore fishing charters.

What We Fish For
Redfish
The red drum, also known as the redfish or channel bass, has a reddish overall coloration and one or more dark spots at the base of the tail. It feeds at the bottom on crustaceans and mollusks. It also takes small fish, especially mullet.
Trout
Typically, trout are slightly bony, but it doesn’t prevent the fish from tasting delicious. And it’s taste heavily depends on the trout’s diet: smaller fish, mollusks, eel and sometimes even shrimp. Trout provide a good fight when caught with a hook and line making the fish perfect for recreational fishing.
Snook
The snook is a powerful fish and a thrilling catch, much like the freshwater Largemouth Bass. The snook is overall a silvery-green color with fins that are sometimes bright yellow. The snook also have a prominent black lateral stripe that runs from just behind the gills to the tail.
Tarpon
The tarpon is a large thick-bodied fish generally silver in color other than its back, which can range from a dark green to grey. It has a large scoop shaped mouth and the last ray of its dorsal fin is greatly elongated. Its scales are large and thick like a coat of armor. The inside of their mouth is like a heavy grit of sandpaper that will wear threw your leader or tippet.
Black Drum
The black drum is also known as “Blue Drum” for having a hint of blue in its dark color with a silvery-gray belly and black fins. Being the largest of all the drum family, it grows 40 to 60 in. in length and weighs between 50 to 100 lbs. Mollusks, clams, oysters and crabs are the most common preys to black drum.
Sheepshead
The sheepshead is a gray fish with five or six lines on the side. It has sharp dorsal spines and a mouth with several rows of stubby teeth to help it crush the shells of prey. The sheepshead favors oysters, clams and shrimps. On average, it can weigh 3 to 4 lbs., and grow up to 30 in.
Jack Crevalle
Jack Crevalle is commonly called a jack, cavalla, horse crevalle or toro. Its round dark spot at the lower base of the pectoral fin and lateral line scales distinguish it from other species. Jack Crevalle is one of the largest species in the jack family, growing to a maximum length of 49 in. and weighs up to 70 lbs. It commonly eats small fish, shrimps, crabs and mollusks.
